FAQS : Laboratory Automation
FAQS
Is a detailed specification document necessary to start an automation project ?
The more detailed your laboratory automation requirements are, the less room there is for our creativity.
Ideally, you should clearly define your needs and detail your processes. The final specifications will be drawn up after several rounds of feedback with the project engineer in charge.
Is there a cost involved in connecting us with your project engineers to evaluate a solution to our automation problem?
No! The initial meeting often takes place via video conference. This allows for quick and easy introductions and an assessment of the mutual benefit of continuing the collaboration. If both parties decide to work together, the project engineer begins work, and invoicing occurs upon successful completion of the project.
We want to automate a manual process but we have technical doubts about our workflows, can we carry out a POC with you ?
Yes. Indeed, transitioning from a manual laboratory process to an automated one can raise a number of questions and problems. We will work on providing sub-components of automation to address these issues. This will involve micro-developments that will strengthen the final solution.
What is the average time between the first contact and a final solution being delivered ?
The average lead time for small automation projects is around 3 months. For more complex laboratory automation projects, this varies between 4 and 10 months, with 6 months on average.
